"'Midway' was the name of Bally's video game division at the time this machine was made. Midway had licensed Space Invaders from Taito in Japan. They decided to use their rigthts to also a make a pinball machine with the same name."

The coin door was a rusty mess. When I got the machine, it was already in rough shape and after sitting more than fifteen years it only got worse. I completely disassembled every piece of the coin door, something I have never done. As best as I could, I de-rusted the parts by soaking them in Lightning Rust Remover. I tumbled the parts that I could and I painted many of the parts. For the rest, I sanded it down to the metal. In this process, I literally took over 150 pictures detailing each step as I disassembled the door. I then used these pictures in reverse to put the door back together once the parts were cleaned, tumbled, and painted. On this page I put a sampling of the pics so you could get an idea of what I did.
